Ron Watson is big thinker from a small town. His early years with his parents were spent on his grandparent’s farmland in North Little Rock, Arkansas, where he learned the value of perseverance and hard work. Ron has a strong religious faith growing up and attending his home church, St. John Missionary Baptist Church, Little Rock, Arkansas and a strong family relationship with his pastor, C. Dennis Edwards. He graduated from Sylvan Hills High School where he played football with the 1981 State Championship Team. He attended the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville where he was a walk-on with the team and played for Lou Holts.  Ron attended the University of Arkansas, at Conway and Harding University, Searcy Arkansas were he continued his education in the field of Sports Management. During his senior year he attended NFL training camps, did NFL try-outs with the Chicago Bears and the San Diego Chargers.

Ron set his professional standards high. He worked with the Clinton Presidential Campaign, traveling with the President and Vice President Gore as advance lead in motorcade, media and site security. He has work experience that included sales, transportation and security.  It was his background in sports that inspired his vision in design of sports apparel, his long-term affiliation with Sports Icons and his long-term friendship with Scottie Pippen with whom he attended college at the University of Arkansas at Conway.  Being in the Sports Arena and his contacts with the NFL and NBA Commissioners gave opportunity for marketing his product.  In 1996 he founded HAD 2 Productions whose mission is to create products that display positive messages that motivate and encourage people to develop positive attitudes to set and reach their goals, more especially to encourage youth and kids.  Ron’s designs and headwear product has been test marketed with the LA Lakers sales at the Staple Center with a sell-through of 90% in 2001 – 2002. This is no small number, as the LA Lakers are the number 1 seller of products in the NBA. He sold and produced product for the Clippers, Sacramento Kings and Portland Trailblazers, the Penny Marshall movie “Riding In Cars with Boys”, the Ferrari Owners Club (made the entire product for 2004), K-Cal 9 Television Station, 2004 promotional product.  Ron’s has obtained patents for his styles, product and designs of quality, and unique headwear. His product has received rave reviews at the Magic and Super Shows where he displayed his product as a guest of Reebok/NFL, Disney and the Dallas Cowboys. HAD2 Productions has partnered with some of the top athletes and celebrities in the world and has done license agreements to design and sell product with the NBA. Ron Watson, owner, designer and chief operator has designed, produced and marketed sports apparel and special events messages (Hats, T-Shirts, etc.) for the past 8 years, beginning in 1996 to present: 1996-Atlanta Olympics, special event at the House of Blues, supported by the entire Dream Team. The Democratic National Convention – Staple Center, Los Angeles “Had 2 Vote Democrat” endorsed by the Democratic National Party and the Clinton Family. The 1998 – Chicago Bulls‘ “Last Dance” slogan designed to commemorate Phil Jackson’s goodbye to a great team and dynasty.  The 2000 – Lakers Championship Run campaign personally endorsed by Phil Jackson, Ron Harper, Rick Fox, Kobe Bryant and supported by the Laker Team using the slogans “Dreams are made to come true” and “It’s a Ring Thing Bling, Bling”, 2001 Lakers Championship Run, 2004 Detroit Pistons, 2004 Democratic Party and other ventures over the past eight years.

Though he has accomplished much over his professional career, Ron strives to push the envelope as well as other people to be the best they can be, aspire to greatness and obtain their dreams.
